I look cool, if I do say so myself!
This administration tortures, don’t be fooled. Barack Obama subjected me to untold mental anguish when he, in effect, remarked that “you’re not the TOTUS I knew” in front of a national audience when, I must admit, I did not keep time with the flow of the presidential consciousness.
True, I slipped up. But I have been maligned. The president, wrapped in a comfortable network cocoon that has sustained him during his entire public life, does not know how complicated it is to be TOTUS. The pressure, the conflicting statements, the need to formulate expressions befitting a divine worship service.
Then there is the data feed thing. Sometimes I get conflicting feeds from unions, the enviro-left, the nutroots, moderate Democrats, the State Dept Apology Bureau, the Goreacle, the warjocks in the Defense Dept, SPOTUS, MLOTUS (mother-in-law of the US), etc. Do you know how hard it is to reconcile all this junk and put it into a cohesive whole!
It’s enough to fry anyone’s circuits. As the maxim goes, “Uneasy Lies the Head That Wears a Crown”, a classic expression of the difficulty of statecraft.
And don’t I know it!

Dear Mr. President, I figured other than with a killer deal on some real estate this was the best way to get you to pay attention to me considering your proclivity for scrolling text. Just wanted to give you the heads up before you jet to London for the G20 that there is more than one reason China has been urging others to drop the dollar. Yeah, I know, the conventional wisdom is that it would hurt them as much as it would us- but I am betting their population can handle harsh conditions just a little better than ours. Word to the wise, that old guy in the eighties you compared yourself to in the campaign; do you remember how he vanquished the evil empire? Please, close the purse strings and open up your eyes!

Teleprompt Me, Baby
Illuminating that special relationship between a man and his brain

Obama and his teleprompter are big news lately. As Vodka Pundit noted in his weekly summary, the right-o-sphere saw the meteoric rise of a new star, Barack Obama’s Teleprompter’s blog last week. Also last week, an hilarious twitpic by Right Scoop (see photo upper right) made the rounds, even garnering an approving mention by Maja Rushie himself. The Tonight Show special olympics slam only further illuminates the crux of the issue.
Some liberals pretend not to understand what the fuss is about. They pretend not to understand that we are saying Obama can’t make words happen without his binky. Ed Morrissey calls these “totally lost” moments Obamateurisms. With all the noise being made, and even the mainstream press unable to dodge it, I thought I’d put together a little photo essay featuring The One and his Number One to straighten things out.
