Rasmussen Reports

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11 (see trends). Republicans have a very slight edge on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Fifty-one percent (51%) say the President has not been tough enough on Iran while just 30% have confidence in the United Nations’ ability to combat terrorism.

On economic matters, just 26% of workers now report that their employers are laying people off. That’s down from 28% a month ago and 30% the month before, resulting in the second straight monthly improvement in the Rasmussen Employment Index.

45% Approval…this calls for a video tribute

So Rasmussen Reports has the President at a 45% approval and a 53% disapproval rating after just 7 months in office. His meteoric rise to the Presidency has since began it’s return to the third rock from the Sun. Some may want to analyze these numbers and find out why he is in a free fall. Me…well I think I will just delight in this bit of schadenfreude.

You feel better now don’t you?

Obama’s 600,000 “Saved or Created” Epic Fail

45% of Americans Say Cancel Rest of Stimulus Spending!

Putting aside the fact, for a moment, that the someone in the world had actually created a metric by which to measure “Saved or Created” jobs, and the 600,000 number Team Obama keeps espousing is legit… Given that fact that government reports have shown the economy has lost more than 1.6 million jobs since Congress approved funding for the program in February”, This would mean that for every job “Saved or Created”, 2.66 jobs were lost!!!

Now that is putting lipstick on a pig!

To accompany that bit of high comedy coming from the White House is Rasmussen Reports 45% Say Cancel Rest of Stimulus Spending:

Forty-five percent (45%) of Americans say the rest of the new government spending authorized in the $787-billion economic stimulus plan should now be canceled. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 36% disagree and 20% are not sure.

According to news reports, only $36 billion of the stimulus plan had been spent as of late May.

Just 20% of adults say the tax cuts included in the stimulus plan should be canceled while 55% disagree. The stimulus plan includes $288 billion in tax cuts.

While there is a wide partisan gap on the question of stimulus spending, there is little partisan disagreement on maintaining the tax cuts.

President Obama on Monday vowed to speed up the pace of stimulus spending and said the money will help “create or save” 600,000 more jobs this summer.

However, only 31% of Americans believe the new government spending in the stimulus package creates new jobs. Forty-eight percent (48%) say the stimulus spending does not create jobs, and 21% are not sure.

Here’s a big shocker from the report — “A plurality of government employees believe speeding up the stimulus will be good for the economy. However, those who work in the private sector strongly disagree.”

Stimulus, the other spending bills, and power grabs in this administrations Fabian Socialist agenda all equal… FAIL!

From Rasmussen

Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters nationwide now disagree with President Barack Obama’s decision to close the prison camp for suspected terrorists at the Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted after the President’s speech on Guantanamo last week, shows that 38% agree with his decision.

Just 25% share the President’s view that the Guantanamo camp weakened national security. Fifty-one percent (51%) disagree with that perspective.

And, by a 57% to 28% margin, voters oppose moving any of the suspected terrorists to prisons in the United States. Republicans and voters not affiliated with either major party strongly oppose transfers to U.S. prisons. Democrats are evenly divided.

Just 15% now say the President is Very Likely to close the prison camp during his first year in office while 6% say that is Not at All Likely to happen. Two-thirds of the nation’s voters are not so sure—35% say the President is Somewhat Likely to close the prison camp while 30% say he is Not Very Likely to do so.
