Obama's Approval , Disapproval Meet in the Middle
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 34% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama
is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2. That matches his lowest total to date (see trends).

Overall, Obama’s approval rating of 55% is remarkably steady and not very high for a President still in his first three months in office. The significance of the current numbers is that the small bounce Obama got from his apology tour of Europe was transient. It will be interesting to see whether the reflected glory of Captain Phillips’ rescue benefits Obama’s ratings.
